Chennai, Dec 3 (NationPress) Joshna Chinappa, a former world No. 10, staged an impressive comeback to defeat Egyptian second seed Nardine Garas in a thrilling five-game match during the HCL Squash Indian Tour 4 quarterfinals held on Wednesday in Chennai. This victory allowed four Indian players to progress to the semifinals.

Velavan Senthilkumar and Anahat Singh, both reigning National champions in their respective categories and top seeds, achieved convincing wins at the Indian Squash Academy. However, men's second seed Veer Chotrani faced an early exit.

In the semifinals scheduled for Thursday, 39-year-old Joshna, who claimed victory at the Japan Open in October and was a runner-up in last month's Daly College Indian Open, will face sixth seed Tanvi Khanna.
