This victory comes on the heels of India’s remarkable opening win against Sri Lanka on Friday. With Hong Kong China also achieving two victories in as many games, both teams have secured their spots in the knockout phase. They will face off on Sunday to ascertain the Group D champion.
The tournament utilizes a relay scoring format, where teams strive to reach 110 points across 10 matches. India started strong, with girls' singles competitor Rujula Ramu defeating Mysha Khan 11-5, followed by the mixed doubles team of C Lalramsanga and Taarini Suri extending the lead to 22-11.
Throughout the contest, India maintained their lead despite some spirited efforts from the UAE in several matches. At halftime, the score was 55-41 in favor of India.
