Spanning over six days of competition beginning Tuesday, a total of 320 shooting competitors from 42 nations will vie for a chance at the 10 medal sets available.
Among the participants are some of the globe’s finest marksmen, including at least four current Olympic champions, all aiming to build momentum leading into the world championships in Cairo this November. Additionally, shooters will strive to secure their places in the ISSF World Cup Finals in Doha in December through stellar performances.
The first two finals scheduled for Tuesday will feature the 10m air rifle and air pistol mixed team events, with India introducing fresh pairings in both competitions.
Olympians Ramita and Divyansh Singh Panwar will team up with Umamahesh Maddenini and Meghana Sajjanar in the mixed air rifle event, while fellow Olympian Rhythm Sangwan partners with Nishant Rawat in the men's air pistol.
