New Delhi, Nov 6 (NationPress) After her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi following their remarkable Women’s World Cup victory, India all-rounder Sneh Rana shared that his motivational words uplift the team every time they interact with him.
"It’s an incredible feeling to be recognized and celebrated in our country. Meeting the PM and the President was truly a wonderful experience. The PM dedicated nearly two hours to us, engaging in numerous discussions. Meeting the President was also a pleasure, and her inspiring speech greatly motivated us," Sneh told IANS after meeting the President.
"The PM’s messages inspire us, and our interaction was quite extensive. We discussed mental health, which was refreshing. His commitment to women's empowerment, particularly through the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' initiative, inspires us immensely, and we hope he continues this valuable work," she added.
Describing the meeting with the PM, Sneh noted that the atmosphere at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg was lively and warm as they discussed various topics, including mental health.
"It’s comforting when the PM engages in conversation with us. We feel at ease sharing our thoughts. He fosters a homely environment and asks insightful questions. It’s wonderful to interact with someone who knows each player’s name and records. He emphasized that all answers lie within ourselves. In any sport or endeavor, giving your all and maintaining patience is crucial. I am thankful to our fans for their overwhelming support and urge them to keep cheering for us," the all-rounder expressed.
