ISL 2024-25: Thangboi Singto Leaves Hyderabad FC as Head Coach

Hyderabad, Dec 18 (NationPress) The Indian Super League (ISL) team Hyderabad FC has officially announced the exit of Thangboi Singto from his position as head coach of the club. Shameel Chembakath, the assistant coach, will take over as the interim coach.

Hyderabad FC, who became champions of the ISL Cup in the 2021-22 season, currently sits in the 12th position on the points table, having secured two wins and one draw from 11 matches.

In a statement, the club remarked, "Hyderabad FC and its Head Coach, Mr Thangboi Singto, have mutually agreed to part ways effective immediately."

Singto's association with Hyderabad FC lasted nearly five years, as he took on the head coaching role in July 2023, following his tenure as assistant coach and Technical Director (Youth) since 2020.

Throughout his time with the club, the Indian coach led the team through various challenges, overseeing a total of 36 matches in different competitions. Remarkably, under his guidance last season, Hyderabad FC made history by becoming the first team to secure an ISL victory with an all-Indian lineup.

The Yellow and Black will be back in action on Monday as they host NorthEast United FC.
