Jaipur, Nov 24 (NationPress) The Kashmir Challenge Cup wrapped up on Sunday with the Jaipur Polo Team, led by Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, achieving victory over Kanota Polo with a score of 9–5 in a thrilling match at the Rajasthan Polo Club.

Under the leadership of Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh, the team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, with South African polo sensation Lance Watson displaying exceptional skills, contributing four goals to the team's success, while Maharaja scored five.

This match marked the third showdown between the two teams, with Jaipur emerging victorious in all previous encounters.

Jaipur started strong, as Lance Watson netted two quick goals (1:25 and 6:35), establishing a 2–0 lead, leaving Kanota Polo unable to score in the first chukker.

In the second chukker, Jaipur kept up their energy, with Watson scoring again at 3:35, pushing their lead to 3–0. Kanota Polo managed to respond with goals from Ashok Chandna at 4:00 and Dino Dhankhar at 6:40, bringing the score to 3–2 at halftime.

The third chukker witnessed rapid scoring from both teams. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh scored two goals (1:20 and 5:40), complemented by another from Watson at 4:10. Kanota’s Hurr Ali answered back with two goals at 5:46 and 6:35. By the end of the chukker, Jaipur was ahead 7–4.

In the final chukker, Jaipur continued to dominate, scoring again at 0:54, increasing their lead to 8–4. Hurr Ali managed to add one last goal for Kanota at 1:40, but a final shot from Lance Watson sealed the match at 9–5.

With this win, Jaipur has now claimed four titles in the Indian Polo Season, with plenty of the season still to play.
