Manchester, Dec 12 (NationPress) Lancashire Cricket has officially named James Anderson, the former England cricketer, as the full-time captain for the County Championship ahead of the 2026 season.
After signing a fresh one-year contract with the Red Rose in November, Anderson—who temporarily captained during the 2025 season—will now lead the team permanently in red-ball cricket. The 43-year-old, recognized as England's all-time leading wicket-taker, concluded his international career last year after debuting with Lancashire in 2002 and representing the club throughout his domestic tenure.
