Following the loss of two significant wickets in the second session, the Jammu and Kashmir squad approached the third session with caution. However, Sahil quickly shifted gears, striking three boundaries off Prasidh Krishna and Shreyas Gopal.

Sahil ensured that the pressure remained off the new batsman Abid Mushtaq, who was also rotating the strike effectively, as Sahil completed his fifty off 73 deliveries in the 150th over.

At the close of play, Sahil stood unbeaten on 57 with seven boundaries, while Abid remained not out at 20 off 31 balls. The day's play was interrupted first by poor lighting and then by rain, which ultimately led to the match being called off after only 11 overs were bowled in the final session, during which J&K managed to score 49 runs.

Earlier, supported by captain Paras Dogra's half-century, J&K reached 473/6 at Tea, despite a brief comeback by Karnataka, who claimed two wickets during that session.

Meanwhile, Dogra continued to advance his team's score through effective strike rotation, completing his fifty off 150 balls. Karnataka finally made a breakthrough in the 143rd over when Shreyas Gopal bowled Dogra with a googly.

After a challenging Day 1, Karnataka made a strong start on Day 2 as centurion Shubham Pundir was caught at mid-wicket by Vidyadhar Patil.

Next, Abdul Samad, who appeared to be in good form, fell in the subsequent over as Prasidh Krishna claimed his third wicket. However, Captain Dogra and Wadhwan successfully led a resurgence as the team inched closer to a formidable first innings score in the final.
