Karnal (Haryana), Nov 21 (NationPress) The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre decisively defeated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy with a score of 4-0, and the Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy also showcased their prowess by outmatching Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy 4-0 in the semifinals of the 3rd Hockey India Junior Women Academy Championship 2025 – Zone A & B held in Karnal, Haryana, on Friday.

These victories have propelled both teams into the final showdown scheduled for Sunday.

In the initial semifinal, the Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre dominated the game against Jai Bharat Hockey Academy, claiming a 4-0 victory at Kailash Hockey Stadium. The team’s four goals were scored in a powerful second half, starting with Amisha Ekka (41’) converting a penalty corner to open the scoring.

Following that, Yashoda (50’), Anushka Bhawre (53’), and Drupati Naik (58’) quickly added to the tally, confirming Odisha's solid win and their place in the championship finale.

The second semifinal featured the Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy, which registered a commanding 4-0 win against Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy. Captain Sukhpreet Kaur excelled with two goals (21’, 45’), while Sanna (26’) and Gurjeet Kaur (57’) contributed one goal each, ensuring a decisive performance that secured their position in the final.

Both teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, setting the stage for an exciting final between the Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre and Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy in the 3rd Hockey India Junior Women Academy Championship 2025 – Zone A & B on November 23.

The tournament commenced on November 15 at the Kailash Hockey Stadium in Karnal, Haryana, showcasing emerging young talent from top hockey academies across India. A total of 17 teams participated, divided into four pools, leading to thrilling matches in both the group stage and knockout rounds.
