New Delhi, March 31 (NationPress) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) right-handed batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi stated that the defending champions are determined to begin anew as they prepare to secure their third victory in IPL 2025 against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium this Monday evening.

After suffering a defeat in their season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by seven wickets at their home ground, Eden Gardens, KKR bounced back with a significant eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, KKR is now targeting consecutive victories against Hardik Pandya's MI, at a venue where they have only managed to win two out of nine encounters. Notably, KKR triumphed over MI at the Wankhede Stadium last year, and this time, they enter the match with MI still seeking their first win in IPL 2025.

"We are eager to put past results behind us and concentrate on the upcoming match. Our goal is to start fresh and secure a win in this next game," Raghuvanshi shared in a statement released by the franchise on Monday.

This season, KKR has brought in new coaching staff, including mentor Dwayne Bravo and assistant coach Ottis Gibson. Raghuvanshi expressed, "Working with such knowledgeable individuals is always rewarding, and I am thoroughly enjoying this learning environment."

Having scored 30 and 22 not out in the tournament so far, Raghuvanshi concluded by emphasizing his ambition to assist KKR in successfully defending their title. "Our primary objective is to secure the 4th star (4th trophy). That is the main focus, and I am committed to practicing and working hard to achieve that goal."
