To honor Jota's memory across all tiers, Liverpool has officially retired squad number 20. Tragically, Jota and his brother Andre Silva lost their lives in a car accident in the Spanish province of Zamora.

Warnock also discussed Liverpool’s strategy for compensating for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s creative absence. The 26-year-old England international has transferred to Real Madrid, concluding his Liverpool career after 354 appearances and 23 goals, along with eight major honors, including two Premier League titles.

“Understanding that they would be without Trent Alexander-Arnold, it was crucial for Liverpool to identify how to replace that creativity. Although he plays as a right-back, he frequently transitions into midfield—often igniting a flat match with a decisive pass or moment of insight. More players like that are essential. In his absence, you can recreate that spark by bringing in someone higher up the pitch,” Warnock explained.
