New Delhi, May 16 (NationPress) Stars from Manchester United, including Harry Maguire, Andre Onana, and Diogo Dalot, are preparing for their very first trip to India to kick off United We Play 2025, the fifth season of their premier grassroots football initiative.
This marks the second instance of current team players visiting the country, following the trip of David De Gea, Anthony Elanga, and Donny van de Beek to Goa in December 2022.
The trio from Manchester United will land in Mumbai on May 29 to officially unveil and commence activities for the fifth season of the United We Play program. During this inaugural visit to India, these footballers will also take the opportunity to engage with the Club's supporters and fans.
According to Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Onana, “We are eager to connect with everyone in India to launch the upcoming season of United We Play and inspire the next generation of football stars. We are also thrilled to meet the fans there and express our gratitude for their unwavering support.”
Backed by Manchester United, United We Play is a nationwide initiative aimed at uplifting young footballers in India, providing them a stage to demonstrate their talents, motivating aspiring players to keep pursuing football, and exposing them to international training techniques.
