The final match of the season will take place against Aston Villa on May 25, with the first tour match scheduled just three days later.
This two-match tour represents the club's inaugural post-season journey in the current era, marking a return to Asia after their victory against Liverpool in Bangkok in July 2022.
United will face the ASEAN All Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, which has a capacity of 84,000, on May 28. They will then head to Hong Kong, where they will play at the Hong Kong Stadium—which holds up to 40,000 fans—on May 30.
The club last visited Kuala Lumpur in 2009 and Hong Kong in 2013, but the connection with millions of dedicated fans across Asia remains as strong as ever.
Omar Berrada, the chief executive officer of Manchester United, stated that the tour aims to ‘generate significant additional revenue.’
“We value the incredible level of support for Manchester United globally, and this summer we are thrilled to offer a schedule that allows our fans in Asia, Scandinavia, and the United States to engage with the club and see the men’s first team perform live in local venues,” Omar expressed in a statement.
“Notably, tour matches contribute significantly to revenue, which empowers the club to continue investing in on-field success. They also create unique opportunities for collaboration with our esteemed commercial partners and strengthen relationships with fans in regions like Asia and the US,” concluded Omar.
