Mumbai, Jan 13 (NationPress) The reigning champions, MI London, have made a significant move by signing three of the finest T20 talents from England: Sam Curran and Will Jacks for the men's team, and Danni Wyatt-Hodge for the women's squad, as part of their freshly rebranded teams in The Hundred.

Sam Curran, retained as captain, will lead MI London into this new era alongside his Surrey teammate, Will Jacks, who has also been retained. Danni Wyatt-Hodge, celebrated as one of England’s premier T20 cricketers, is the first signing for the women’s team.

Curran, the T20 captain for Surrey, boasts over 5,000 runs and almost 300 wickets in T20 cricket, having clinched the 2022 T20 World Cup for England with a remarkable Player of the Match performance. His extensive experience includes participation in global leagues such as the IPL, BBL, and SA20 in 2023, where he played for MI Cape Town.

The all-rounder, who progressed through the Surrey Talent Pathway, has represented England over 100 times across formats. Curran has previously captained the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL and led the Desert Vipers to victory in the ILT20 earlier this year. He has been a key figure at the Kia Oval during The Hundred and was instrumental in the Oval Invincibles’ historic three-title run.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge, an icon of English cricket, was part of the victorious 2017 World Cup team and is the all-time leading run-scorer in IT20 cricket for her country. She secured the inaugural Vitality Blast title with Surrey in 2025 and added to her accolades over Christmas with the Hobart Hurricanes, clinching their first WBBL trophy. In The Hundred, Wyatt-Hodge ranks as the second-highest run-scorer in the competition's history and has taken her team to four finals, winning the title in 2023 with another stellar Player of the Match performance.

Will Jacks, another product of the Surrey Talent Pathway, has represented England across all formats. He holds the distinction of being Surrey’s second-highest run-scorer in T20 cricket and has notched centuries in all formats. Currently, he plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and has a wealth of experience in franchise cricket, including the Big Bash, SA20, and ILT20.

This dynamic opener also contributes with off-spin bowling, having taken 80 wickets in T20 cricket alongside amassing over 6,000 runs. Like Curran, Jacks has played for the Oval Invincibles in every season of The Hundred and is the fifth-highest run-scorer in the competition.

Later, captain Sam Curran expressed his excitement regarding this fresh chapter in The Hundred: "It was thrilling to learn that MI was joining the Oval Invincibles."

The revamped look for the MI London team has been unveiled, capturing the essence of the Oval Invincibles while integrating the iconic Mumbai Indians. This new branding showcases the vibrant mint green associated with success in The Hundred, along with the blue and gold hues of the Mumbai Indians and MI franchise teams globally.

The logo features the distinctive shape of the Kia Oval and incorporates elements of the Oval Invincibles logo, with repeated mentions of London and a spark replicated twice in the roundel surrounding the MI monogram.
