London, March 14 (NationPress) David Moyes has been honored with the Manager of the Month award for February 2025, marking the 11th time he has received this accolade in his career. The manager of Everton now stands joint-third on the all-time list, alongside Pep Guardiola, with only Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger having won this award more frequently.

This recognition is particularly significant as it is Moyes’ first win since March 2013, during his initial tenure at Everton.

“Achieving the Manager of the Month award almost within my first month at the club is a testament to the players' commitment, attitude, and exceptional work ethic. They’ve been fantastic,” said Moyes on the club's official website. “I am delighted because the individuals I am alongside are remarkable coaches and managers.

“From my perspective, my longevity in the league has likely provided me with more opportunities to achieve this honor.

“However, winning it amidst such fierce competition in the Premier League—filled with numerous talented coaches, including many promising young talents—is a significant challenge.”

The 61-year-old coach has been revitalizing Everton since taking over in January for his second stint at Goodison Park, completing an unbeaten February that left the team 15 points clear of the relegation zone.

He began the month with a commanding 4-0 victory against Leicester City, followed by a thrilling 2-2 derby draw against league leaders Liverpool and a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Moreover, a hard-fought 2-2 draw at home against Manchester United and a 1-1 stalemate at Brentford ensured Everton finished February undefeated.

Moyes was selected from a five-man shortlist which included Oliver Glasner, Ange Postecoglou, Marco Silva, and Arne Slot, with public votes combined with a panel of experts’ opinions.

Additionally, Everton may achieve a February awards double, as James Tarkowski's goal has been nominated for the Guinness Goal of the Month.
