Mumbai, Feb 5 (NationPress) The Indian contingent faced a significant blow as two of its leading doubles teams were eliminated on a thrilling Day Four of the 2026 Mumbai Open WTA 125K Series. Meanwhile, China's Fangran Tian achieved a stunning upset by defeating Hanne Vandewinkel, the tournament's fourth seed, during the exciting matches held at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) on Thursday.

In doubles action, the top-seeded duo of Rutuja Bhosale and Peangtarn Plipuech also exited the competition in the quarterfinals. In contrast, Lilli Tagger maintained her remarkable performance, advancing to the next stage, alongside Lanlana Tararudee and Tatiana Prozorova, who both secured victories in singles.
