Ahmedabad, March 24 (NationPress) The Gujarat Titans have set forth a definitive plan as they gear up for IPL 2026, with head coach Ashish Nehra underscoring their unwavering commitment to compete and win, while maintaining their existing style of play.

Since their IPL debut in 2022, the Gujarat Titans have demonstrated remarkable consistency, successfully reaching the playoffs in three out of their first four seasons and clinching the championship in their inaugural year.

During the Shubharambh 2026 event, which celebrated the entire squad, franchise owners, partners, and fans, Nehra conveyed that the Titans are not considering any alterations to their gameplay.

"I believe there is no necessity to approach this season differently. In fact, I don’t need to overthink; the players are the ones who must think and perform; I’m merely an observer," he remarked, reinforcing the team's confidence in its players' judgment.

Nehra also stressed the importance of a strong team mindset, stating, "From the very beginning, our mindset has been unambiguous; we are not here just to participate, we are here to compete and win. For a nascent team, it’s common to assume that success might take time, but that has never been our perspective."

Regarding continuity within the team, Nehra noted, "You’re referencing a captain who has been part of this journey from day one. I don’t believe we will be making any significant changes this season."

The Gujarat Titans will commence their IPL 2026 campaign on March 31 in Mullanpur, facing off against the Punjab Kings, followed by their inaugural home match against the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 4.

They will subsequently head to New Delhi to compete against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 8, before challenging the Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 12.
