Manchester, Jan 27 (NationPress) Andre Onana believes that Manchester United may have hit a significant turning point following their 1-0 victory over Fulham. This win marks the team's first Premier League away success since they triumphed against Manchester City in December. The decisive goal came in the second half from Lisandro Martinez, securing all three points at Craven Cottage.

In a previous match, Bruno Fernandes had scored a thrilling goal in stoppage time to ensure victory against Rangers at Old Trafford. On this occasion, Martinez found the net in the 78th minute, delivering a strike that enabled the Reds to achieve their eighth consecutive win against Fulham.

"We must relish this moment because when things are going well, everyone is in high spirits. It’s essential for us as Manchester United to give our all on the pitch. I hope this match signifies a turning point, and together we can progress from here. We are united in this journey. As I’ve often mentioned, we win as a team and we lose as a team. There will be tough times and joyful times, but we must remain united regardless of the outcome," Onana expressed to MUTV.

This 1-0 victory at Craven Cottage was notable as it marked the first time since December 1 that United managed to completely shut out their opponents, ending a streak of 13 matches across all competitions.

Manchester United is now aiming for three consecutive wins for the first time this season, with a match against FCSB scheduled for Thursday night in Bucharest. Amorim will be encouraged by the resilience displayed by his team on Sunday as they seek to advance in the Europa League.

Amorim acknowledged that his squad required a bit of fortune to secure victory against their London-based rivals.

"Sometimes, a little bit of luck is necessary. We've encountered games where we lost, but in the end, only the result matters. I remember numerous opportunities we squandered, such as against Nottingham (Forest) and Bournemouth, where early goals shifted the momentum of the match.

"Thus, today I recognize that we have much room for improvement. Our ball control wasn’t optimal, but we provided our players with the necessary time, and when given time, talented athletes can alter the course of the match with a single play, and that’s exactly what happened today," Amorim stated during a press conference.
