Pune, Dec 10 (NationPress) Skipper Fazel Atrachali orchestrated a defensive clinic that propelled the Bengal Warriorz to a decisive 44-29 victory over the Bengaluru Bulls in Match 104 of Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) held at the Badminton Hall of the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Tuesday.
A significant part of this triumph was attributed to the defensive skills of Nitesh Kumar and captain Fazel Atrachali, who managed to secure an ALL OUT against the Bengaluru Bulls with just six minutes remaining in the first half.
For the Bengaluru Bulls, the standout player was their captain, Pardeep Narwal, who emerged as their main offensive force. He notched up five raid points and executed a remarkable Super Raid that eliminated Fazel Atrachali, Nitesh Kumar, and Pranay Rane. However, a lack of assistance from his teammates allowed the Bengal Warriorz to build a substantial 10-point lead by halftime, with the score standing at 22-12.
In the second half, the Bengal Warriorz intensified their efforts as Nitesh Kumar achieved his High 5. Meanwhile, Pardeep Narwal reached his Super 10 after successfully raiding and taking Nitesh Kumar off the mat. Additionally, Vishwas S. also completed an impressive Super 10.
The Bengaluru Bulls faced another All Out with 12 minutes left in the match. As the game neared its conclusion, the exceptional defensive strategies employed by Fazel Atrachali and his team secured a crucial victory for the Bengal Warriorz. Fazel himself achieved a High 5, leading the former PKL champions to a commanding 15-point win, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
