New Delhi, April 28 (NationPress) Paul Pogba, the World Cup-winning midfielder from France, has shared an update regarding his anticipated return to the field, stating it “might be tomorrow” or “might be in two years” before he makes his comeback.
Pogba has been sidelined from competitive play since September 2023, following a ban for a doping violation that occurred after he played for Juventus against Udinese on August 20, 2023.
He had tested positive for DHEA, which is a prohibited substance that enhances natural testosterone levels. However, Pogba’s team contested the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), which initially confirmed the four-year suspension, later reducing it to 18 months, which concluded in March.
On his personal Instagram, Pogba shared a video stating, “Just a little message. Nothing to show really, just somebody that is still hungry for the comeback, been training by himself, but never gives up on chasing his dream and what he wants to achieve.”
He continued, “If you don’t get what you want right now, just keep trying and pushing until you achieve it. It might be tomorrow, it might be in one year, it might be two years, but what’s going to happen is meant to happen. Let’s go! Big up and see you very soon.”
Although Pogba was cleared to resume his professional career in March, he currently remains a free agent after being released by Juventus while serving his ban in November.
The 32-year-old has been linked with several clubs, including his former team Manchester United, Marseille, as well as teams from MLS and the Saudi Pro League showing interest.
