Lucknow, April 1 (NationPress) Punjab Kings have won the toss and decided to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants in match 13 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson is set to make his debut for Punjab.
Captain Shreyas Iyer of Punjab Kings commented, “We are opting to bowl first. It’s a new ground, and with the pitch being red-soil, dew might play a role. We prefer to chase and want our players to express themselves freely. Adapting to the pitch quickly is crucial. Lockie is joining the team.”
Conversely, Lucknow is fielding the same eleven that triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Captain Rishabh Pant of Lucknow Super Giants stated, “We aimed to bowl first, but some aspects are out of our control, so we are pleased to bat first. We appreciate the support from our fans and will strive to perform our best. No alterations for us.”
