New Delhi, May 2 (NationPress) Swati Dudhwal from Rajasthan clinched the bronze medal in the senior category, while Shivani earned a bronze in the junior category during the 3rd NTPC Khelo India Women’s National Ranking Archery Tournament held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on May 1 and 2.

In the senior ranking round, Swati, a member of the Indian women's compound archery squad alongside world champion Jyothi Surekha Vennam, who won gold at the World Archery University Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in 2016, achieved a score of 681 points, which placed her in 10th position.

During the individual events, she triumphed over Jaspreet (Railways) with a score of 148-145 and then defeated Prabhjot Kaur (Punjab) 147-143 in the quarterfinals of this event, which commenced on April 30 at the Ankur Ground in Madhya Pradesh’s capital.

She faced a narrow defeat in the semifinals against Akshita (Delhi) with a score of 145-146. However, in the bronze medal match, Swati managed to overcome Srishti (Madhya Pradesh) 146-143, securing the bronze medal for Rajasthan.

In the junior category, Shivani registered a score of 666 in the ranking round, also placing 10th. She won her initial match against Samiksha (Delhi) 142-132, followed by a victory over Nikita (Haryana) in the quarterfinals with a score of 141-138.
