New Delhi, Aug 4 (NationPress) As the Premier League 2025-26 season approaches, Rayan Ait-Nouri shared his thoughts on joining Manchester City filled with pride and excitement. He elaborated on his playing style and experiences, expressing a strong desire to learn under Pep Guardiola, while also highlighting his international career milestones and ambitions to grow and secure trophies with the club.

Rayan conveyed his happiness upon signing with Manchester City: “Honestly, I’m incredibly happy and proud. Representing a club like Manchester City was a significant goal for me. I can’t wait to don this jersey and give my all. My family shares in my joy - today marks a truly special moment,” he stated on JioHotstar.

“The decision was quite straightforward. The team’s reputation speaks for itself - they proved to be the best in the world last year. The caliber of players and coaching is exceptional. Training under Pep Guardiola is a privilege. I’m here to learn and demonstrate my abilities. I will commit myself fully,” Rayan emphasized.

Discussing his playing style, Rayan described himself as a technical player who enjoys attacking. “I prioritize being a technical player. However, I also strive to support my teammates and the team as a whole. In practice and matches, I always aim to give my utmost because teamwork is vital to me. I take pleasure in attacking, crossing, and shooting, and I also take defending seriously. If I had to characterize my football, I would say I’m a technical player,” he explained.

“Having experience in the Premier League will certainly help me adjust. It’s the same league, same country, and I’ve spent considerable time in England. I have a good understanding of the league. Nevertheless, it’s still a new challenge with remarkable players and a top-tier coach. I’m eager to train with the team and embrace this next chapter,” the defender added.

When asked about his enthusiasm for working with Manchester City’s manager, Rayan remarked, “I’m very enthusiastic about collaborating with him. To me, he’s the best coach globally. His achievements with this team are astonishing. I want to absorb his knowledge and work diligently alongside my teammates. Above all, I will give everything for this club.”

“It’s going to be fantastic, as we all know the squad is of the highest caliber. I’ve faced City before, and it was always a challenge due to the quality of their players. They are incredible. I’m definitely looking forward to learning from them in both practice and matches,” he added.

Prior to his transfer to the Etihad Stadium, Rayan sought advice from a familiar face - Matheus Nunes, who had previously played alongside him at Wolves. The two kept in touch, and Nunes provided insight into life at Manchester City.

“I frequently spoke with him during his time at Wolves. He shared a bit about City—not just football, but also what life at City is like. I’m thrilled to reunite with Matheus,” he expressed.

In addition to Nunes, Rayan also consulted with Riyad Mahrez, the former City winger and a notable figure in the Algerian national team. Their shared national team connection facilitated meaningful discussions about the significance of representing a club of City’s stature.

“I also converse with Riyad. I’m part of the national team with him. It was similar with Matheus. He offered insights about City and encouraged me to give everything for this club. He emphasized that it’s the biggest club in the world,” Rayan noted.

Still at the beginning of his career, Rayan acknowledges the promising opportunity that lies ahead. Joining a club renowned for its world-class facilities, elite players, and tactical proficiency under Guardiola, the young full-back is optimistic about his development.

“I’m young and aware that I have plenty to improve. I chose this significant challenge because I am confident that I can enhance my football here. With the conditions at this club and under this manager, I’m sure I will grow,” he stated.
