Bengaluru, May 18 (NationPress) - The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have declared a full ticket refund for their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, which took place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and was called off due to continuous rain without any play on Saturday.
"Since the encounter between RCB and KKR on May 17, 2025 was canceled due to adverse weather conditions, all ticket holders with valid purchases are entitled to receive a complete refund," the franchise announced in an official statement.
"For digital ticket holders, refunds will be processed and credited back to the original payment method within 10 working days. If you do not receive your refund by May 31, please contact refund@ticketgenie.in with your booking details for further assistance."
"Physical ticket holders must return their original tickets to the official source from where they were purchased to claim their refunds. Please note that complimentary tickets are excluded from this refund policy," it added.
Previously, RCB had also announced refunds for matches originally scheduled on May 13 and May 17, which were postponed due to a week-long suspension of IPL 2025 amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
Following Saturday's washout, both RCB and KKR received one point each. RCB climbed to the top of the points table, amassing 17 points from 12 matches, while KKR, with 12 points from 13 matches, was eliminated from playoff contention.
RCB's upcoming matches include hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23 and a trip to Lucknow to face the Lucknow Super Giants on May 27.
RCB could secure their place in the playoffs even before their next match, depending on the outcomes of Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals' matches on Sunday.
