Nashik, June 15 (NationPress) Aishwarya Pissay from Petronas TVS Racing faced some challenges in the initial stage but made an impressive recovery with a stunning performance in the final stage, ultimately capturing the Ladies title in the second round of the 2025 FMSCI National Rally Championship for two-wheelers on Sunday.
Despite encountering nearly 44 seconds of delay due to technical difficulties in the first special stage, India's sole FIM World Cup winner and three-time world champion showcased remarkable determination and spirit in the Ladies Class. Unfazed by her early troubles, she shifted into a higher gear, riding fiercely through the subsequent stages.
Aboard a TVS RTR 200, Aishwarya regained significant time in the second special stage and delivered an electrifying performance in the final leg, finishing with a dominant lead of 1 minute and 34 seconds. Former champion Ryhana Bee from Chennai was left vying for the second spot against Somyya Chaudhary from Jaipur, as the current champion pulled ahead.
Racing over a demanding 17.5 km stretch of rough tarmac, the champion's exhibition of sheer speed and impeccable technique captivated the modest crowd along the route, clocking 50 minutes, 02.803 seconds to maintain her championship lead after two rounds.
"I lost a lot of time in the first stage, so I was a bit cautious in the second and went all out in the third, leaving nothing to chance. It was a fiercely contested race, and I had an incredible time on the bike,” remarked Aishwarya, who is backed by Petronas TVS Racing, along with Micro Labs, IIFL, and Surana College.
The six-round FMSCI National Rally Championship for two-wheelers 2025 will now proceed to the scenic coffee estates of Chikkamagaluru.
