He believes this experience will be invaluable.
The inaugural Archery Premier League is set to take place from October 2nd to 12th at the Yamuna Sports Complex in New Delhi, showcasing elite archers from India and across the globe.
This exciting event will include six franchises: Prithviraj Yodhas (Delhi), Rajputana Royals (Rajasthan), Kakatiya Knights (Telangana), Mighty Marathas (Maharashtra), Chero Archers (Jharkhand), and Chola Chiefs (Tamil Nadu), all vying for the ultimate title.
Representing the Chola Chiefs in the Compound Men’s category, Gurugram-based Rishabh expressed his optimism about the league's positive implications. “The Archery Premier League is a significant milestone for our sport. It will offer archers a prestigious platform and bring archery closer to fans nationwide,” Rishabh stated.
“I’m incredibly eager to compete against Brady Ellison. He is among the finest in the world, and this match-up will be an extraordinary experience for me,” he added.
Additionally, Rishabh is celebrated for partnering with Jyothi Surekha Vennam to set a mixed team world record of 1431 points at the Archery World Cup in Madrid in July 2025, achieving his personal best individual score of 716.
In August 2025, he made headlines by securing India's first-ever individual medal in archery at the World Games, clinching a bronze in men's compound archery after defeating his mentor, Abhishek Verma, in the bronze medal match.
Under the mentorship of Abhishek, Rishabh has amassed numerous accolades, including medals at the World Championships and Asian Championships, establishing himself as a promising talent in Indian archery.
Rishabh also emphasized that the Archery Premier League will significantly boost morale and visibility for the sport, stating, “We are all eagerly anticipating the league starting this October. It will also serve as excellent preparation for the Olympics, as athletes will have the chance to compete on a broader stage, play more matches, and gain essential experience. This is a positive advancement for both the sport and the players.”
Rishabh further highlighted India’s strong performance in mixed team events at the World Championships, noting, “Our experience over the past year has been very beneficial. We performed incredibly well, and now with compound archery included in the mixed team event, we are more focused on securing that elusive Olympic medal. We even finished second in the mixed team event at the World Championships, which is a promising sign for our future.”
