Saif and Singh Set the Platform

Kashi Rudras captain Karan Sharma won the toss and opted to field, but the Lucknow openers immediately made him regret the call. Mohammad Saif and Himanshu Singh blazed through the powerplay, putting on an aggressive 67-run opening stand to put the Falcons in control from the first over.

The breakthrough came through Sharma himself, who entered the attack and removed Himanshu Singh for a brisk 36 off 22 balls, then followed up with the wicket of Ajeet Verma (13). Despite regular fall of wickets at the other end, Saif refused to be dislodged.

Impact Player Uvaish Ahmed attempted a counter-attack, scoring a rapid 29 off 17 balls, before being dismissed by Vipraj Nigam. Lucknow Falcons captain and Indian international Bhuvneshwar Kumar then removed Upendra Yadav, pushing Kashi deeper into trouble at 104/5 after 14 overs.

With Kashi 104/5 in 14 overs, heavy rain halted play and proved to be the final interruption. The DLS par score calculation found Kashi Rudras 14 runs short of the revised requirement, handing Lucknow Falcons the match. Mohammad Saif was named Player of the Match for his match-defining innings.
