Chennai, Oct 8 (NationPress) Aditya Shinde showcased his remarkable form once again as Puneri Paltan triumphed over a determined U Mumba with a scoreline of 37-27 during Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night. The performance from the champions of season 10 was stellar, especially after they initially fell behind before the raider turned the tide to clinch the victory.

The match started with a strong showing from U Mumba, highlighted by a tackle from Rinku on Aslam Inamdar, followed by Ajit Chouhan executing a Super Raid that took out Gaurav Khatri, Pankaj Mohite, and Gurdeep. This early effort gave U Mumba a 4-0 advantage, until Aditya Shinde managed to get Rinku down, marking the first points for Puneri Paltan.

This sparked a resurgence for the season 10 champions, as Aditya’s successful raids led to Lokesh Ghosliya and then Parvesh Bhainswal being sidelined, bringing the score to a 5-5 tie, although U Mumba finished the first quarter in the lead.

In the second quarter, Puneri Paltan demonstrated their status as one of the most well-rounded teams this season. After allowing U Mumba to control the early moments, the Paltan struck back with a series of incisive raids and well-coordinated tackles.

Aslam and Pankaj spearheaded the charge, combining to execute the match's first ALL OUT, decisively shifting momentum in favor of Puneri. The second quarter clearly belonged to the Paltan, as they turned an early deficit into a 17–12 lead by halftime, dominating possession and controlling the game’s tempo.

The third quarter remained tightly contested, with Puneri Paltan clinging to a narrow one-point lead. U Mumba’s Ajit Chouhan continued his impressive performance, consistently penetrating Puneri's defense and keeping his team close. His effective raids on Vishal Bhardwaj and Gurdeep showcased his instincts and composure under pressure.

Meanwhile, Aditya Shinde kept pace, matching Ajit's raids and securing vital points, while defenders like Gurdeep and Abinesh Nadarajan made crucial tackles at pivotal moments. Despite U Mumba’s attempts to seize momentum through Ajit and Sandeep, the Paltan maintained a slight edge with the score at 22–21 as the match approached its conclusion.

A tackle by Amirmohammad Zafardanesh on Pankaj leveled the score for U Mumba before Sandeep added a touch on Rakesh. Both teams traded points, exchanging leads frequently. A Super Tackle by Aditya Shinde allowed the Paltan to regain the lead, which they capitalized on with just five minutes remaining.

With a four-point cushion, the Paltan were careful not to concede unnecessary points. Aditya Shinde completed his Super 10, reaching 100 points in the PKL, followed by Anil scoring a Bonus Point in a Do-Or-Die raid, keeping the excitement alive until the final whistle. Ultimately, an All Out executed on U Mumba by Aditya Shinde secured a decisive 10-point victory for Puneri Paltan.
