Sinner Excited About Numerous Milestones in 2024 Season

New Delhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) Jannik Sinner, the current World No.1, is anticipating the pursuit of numerous titles in 2025 following a remarkable 2024 season that saw him ascend to the top of the world tennis rankings while achieving several significant victories.
“It was a tremendous transformation. A lot has changed. Last year was filled with numerous first-time experiences. Not only did I win my first Grand Slam, but I also experienced my first Davis Cup the previous year. Following my rise to World No. 1, I went on to win the year-end Nitto ATP Finals. There aren’t many firsts left in our sport. Clearly, there are still a couple of Grand Slams that I have yet to conquer,” Sinner remarked.
The Italian sensation has highlighted the necessity of continual development. During the offseason, he worked with his team on what he termed subtle modifications, believing that focusing on minute details could yield substantial benefits as he progresses.
“One crucial aspect for me is to vary my gameplay a bit more and to advance a little. That’s precisely what we aimed for during the offseason. My service motion has slight adjustments. Although these changes might not be noticeable from the outside, as a player, I can feel them,” he explained.
“Tennis is a multifaceted game. The physical aspect holds significant weight, as does the mental side. We’ve implemented some changes, but let’s observe how this year unfolds,” he added.
Melbourne is particularly meaningful to Sinner, as it represents the venue where he began to make his mark. At the age of 23, he aspires to continue his impact in the sport as he embarks on the new season. Sinner is set to face Nicolas Jarry in the opening round of the Australian Open.
“Returning here feels incredibly special. So many things have evolved both on and off the court. I am very grateful that these memories will stay with me for many years to come,” he expressed.
“Let’s see what I can accomplish this year. It’s a question that none of us can definitively answer. However, it’s great to be back, and we’ll find out what the tournament holds,” Sinner concluded.
