The complete squad of 15 players was present, proudly holding the coveted mace at the Home of Cricket, commemorating their five-wicket victory over Australia that secured the World Test Championship Final. This marked South Africa's first win in an ICC tournament in 28 years.

As reported by the ICC website, the players and their support staff were in high spirits during their final moments at Lord's before heading back to South Africa. All-rounder Wiaan Mulder expressed that the celebrations had been quite lively.

"It's been an extraordinary couple of days. I haven't experienced celebrations like this before. As a team, we're absolutely thrilled, and there’s no better venue than the Home of Cricket to do it," said Mulder, as quoted by ICC Digital.

He shared that he had barely slept since arriving in London, with the excitement leading up to the Ultimate Test and the post-match celebrations taking a toll on him.

While Mulder noted that all players and support staff participated in the festivities, he mentioned that the leading celebrators were from Western Province.

"Honestly, it’s the Western Province crew that takes the lead in celebrating victories. Kyle Verreynne, Dane Paterson, David Bedingham, and our batting coach, Ashwell Prince, are the main instigators of our celebratory spirit," Mulder commented.

Mulder also mentioned receiving numerous messages of encouragement from family and friends back home in South Africa. He even spoke with Australian batter Travis Head, his IPL teammate, after their victory.

"I actually had a phone call with him (Head) last night. He was genuinely happy for us," Mulder said. "Of course, he was disappointed they didn't win, but overall, the spirit of the game was commendable.

"When you think of the Australians, you sometimes perceive them as a bit rough, but these guys are true champions. Their consistency throughout the game exemplifies why they are considered one of the greatest cricketing teams in history," Mulder stated.
