Ranchi, April 6 (NationPress) On the sixth day of the 16th Hockey India Sub-junior Women's National Championship 2026 held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, teams from Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Chandigarh, and Karnataka emerged victorious in Division 'B'. Meanwhile, Mizoram, Haryana, Odisha, and Jharkhand claimed wins in Division 'A'.
In the opening match, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey triumphed over the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu with a score of 1-0 in their Pool A, Division 'B' encounter. Anushka Gupta netted the decisive goal in the 41st minute during the third quarter.
Next, Hockey Chandigarh secured a convincing 4-1 victory against Hockey Himachal in their Pool B Division 'B' clash. Annu showcased her skills with a hat-trick, scoring in the 7th, 14th, and 52nd minutes, while Rani Radha added another goal at the 42nd minute. Khushvinder Gill scored the only goal for Hockey Himachal in the 44th minute.
In a dominant performance, Hockey Karnataka outclassed Hockey Gujarat with a 6-1 win in Pool B, Division 'B'. The goals for Karnataka came from K.P. Sinchana (20', 52'), M.M. Thaniya (2'), S.M. Kusumanjali (19'), Pretti Neelaraddi (22'), and Huggennavar Basamma Shivappa (26'). Parvatiben Gamar found the net for Hockey Gujarat in the 31st minute.
In Pool D, Division 'A', Hockey Mizoram achieved a 2-1 victory over Chhattisgarh Hockey, with K. Vanlalpeki scoring both goals for Mizoram in the 14th and 41st minutes, whereas Manpreet Kaur scored for Chhattisgarh in the 27th minute.
