The top-seeded Tanvi dominated against Poland’s Wiktoria Kaletka, winning decisively with scores of 15-2, 15-1 in just 11 minutes. Meanwhile, eighth-seed Unnati secured a 15-8, 15-9 victory over Hong Kong’s Liu Hoi Anna in 23 minutes. Rakshitha Sree also made her mark, overcoming Lucy Yang of Canada 15-5, 15-9.
In a surprising turn, Indonesia’s Thalita Wiryawan, seeded seventh, was the highest-ranked girl to exit the tournament. Chinese Taipei’s Shu-Yu Wen managed to rally from a game down to win 12-15, 15-7, 15-8 in 34 minutes.
