Manchester, April 23 (NationPress) Midfielder Youri Tielemans expressed his frustration after Aston Villa suffered a loss due to a 94th-minute goal in their 2-1 defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The Portuguese holding midfielder Matheus Nunes, who was playing in a full-back position, scored deep into stoppage time, securing all three points in a closely-fought match in Manchester, leaving Villa without any points.

The Belgian player felt the match was a display of fine margins, suggesting that his team's performance merited more than the outcome. "It’s very frustrating to lose (in the) last minute of the game where we fought really hard. We blocked pretty much everything aside from their first goal. We had the first chance, they got the last one. They scored, we didn’t. That’s football; it’s just really frustrating. To lose like that, in the final action, was incredibly upsetting," Tielemans remarked on Villa's website.

With four Premier League matches remaining following Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace at Wembley, Villa's season is at a critical juncture. The defeat to City means they remain in seventh place in the league, trailing fifth-placed Newcastle United by two points. They still have a chance to aim for UEFA Champions League qualification with upcoming matches against Fulham, Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United.

Tielemans is confident that Unai Emery’s team will be "giving their all" to ensure this season is successful. "We have four Premier League games left, and we will put in our maximum effort to achieve good results and aim for our desired positions, hopefully securing a spot in the Champions League.

"On Saturday, we have the semi-final, which we hope to win, and then we will assess our situation from there. For now, we are fully concentrated on that. We are disappointed about tonight's result and need to analyze where we can improve," he added.
