London, March 16 (NationPress) Manchester United has solidified its position in the top four after securing a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa at Old Trafford this Sunday.

The triumph places Michael Carrick's squad firmly in third place, leaving Aston Villa to contend with three consecutive losses in the Premier League.

Casemiro initiated the scoring with a commanding header in the 53rd minute, assisted by Bruno Fernandes. However, Ross Barkley equalized with a left-footed shot in the 65th minute, following a pass from Lucas Digne.

Only seven minutes later, Matheus Cunha capitalized on another assist from Fernandes to restore Manchester United's lead, and Benjamin Sesko secured the win with a goal nine minutes before the final whistle, according to reports from Xinhua.
