Patiala, March 7 (NationPress) Two-time Asian Games winner, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, demonstrated impressive form as he clinched the gold medal in the men's shot put event on the first day of the two-day 5th Indian Open Throws Competition held at the National Institute of Sports Campus in Patiala, Punjab, on Saturday.
The 31-year-old veteran shot putter launched the iron ball a remarkable distance of 20.51m, marking his season's best to secure the gold. “I’m pleased with my performance,” Toor commented post-competition.
Throughout his six attempts, Toor exceeded the 20m threshold on three occasions, indicating he has been enjoying effective training sessions. His remaining three tries did not yield any marks, while two of his valid throws were recorded at 20.02m and 20.07m.
