The victory cements Uttar Pradesh's standing as a dominant force in national divyang cricket.

How the Final Unfolded

Batting first, Mumbai posted a competitive 171/7 in 20 overs, anchored by Ravindra Sante's brilliant unbeaten 71 and Vikrant Keni's solid 54. Mo. Sadik was the pick of the Uttar Pradesh bowlers, returning figures of 2 wickets for 24 runs in his 4-over spell.

Chasing 172, Uttar Pradesh responded with fearless intent. Captain Rahul Singh set the tone with a blistering 31 off just 13 balls, before Vintoo Yadav contributed a crucial 35. Deependra Singh then anchored the chase with an unbeaten 54, guiding the side home at 173/6 in 18.5 overs. Aakash Patil picked up 2 wickets for Mumbai but could not halt the chase.

As a special initiative, three players under the age of 15 who featured in the championship were honoured with appreciation awards of ₹5,000 each.

Organisation and Inclusive Sport

The championship was organised under the aegis of the Karnataka State Divyang Cricket Association (KSDCA), the state body of the Physically Challenged Cricket Council of India (PCCAI) — itself a founder-member association of the Divyang Cricket Council of India (DCCI). KSDCA president Hemachandra played a central role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the tournament, with players, officials, and spectators praising the arrangements and hospitality.

DCCI General Secretary Ravi Chauhan felicitated the players at the closing ceremony and said such championships are playing a vital role in promoting inclusive sports across India. Notably, the championship drew 12 teams from across the country, reflecting the growing reach of divyang cricket at the national level.
