Rajgir, April 10 (NationPress) In a thrilling showdown at the Rajgir Sports Complex in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh both celebrated victories in their respective Division 'A' semifinal matches during the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 held on Friday.
The first semifinal saw Hockey Madhya Pradesh triumph over Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey with a score of 4-2. The goals for Madhya Pradesh were scored by Deepak Singh (29’), Karan Gautam (43’), Gazee Khan (47’), and Siddharth Ben (51’). For Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Captain Dhiraj Pal (36’) and Apurwa Chauhan (54’) contributed with their goals.
In the second semifinal, Uttar Pradesh Hockey overpowered Hockey Punjab with an impressive 6-2 victory.
