Rajgir, April 10 (NationPress) In a thrilling showdown at the Rajgir Sports Complex in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh both celebrated victories in their respective Division 'A' semifinal matches during the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 held on Friday.
The first semifinal saw Hockey Madhya Pradesh triumph over Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey with a score of 4-2. Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey achieved a narrow 2-1 win over Hockey Chandigarh, while Hockey Punjab claimed a 5-3 victory against Hockey Jharkhand. Uttar Pradesh Hockey triumphed with a 6-3 win over Hockey Association of Odisha, and Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Hockey Haryana played to a 0-0 draw before Madhya Pradesh won 4-3 in the shootout.
