The 25-year-old has been a vital member of the Indian team at the Billie Jean King Cup Asia Oceania Group 1, contributing crucial singles victories for her team.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Vaidehee stated, “I am incredibly grateful to Hon President Mr. Prashant Sutar and Hon Secretary Mr. Sundar Iyer of MSLTA for this wonderful opportunity. This year, the L&T Mumbai Open features numerous highly-ranked international players, and I am eager to embrace the challenge.”
Regarding her personal objectives and strategy for the tournament, she remarked, “I aim to savor each match and strive to advance as far as possible by remaining focused, trusting my training, and giving my all in every game.”
Young Parthsarthi Mundhe, a Junior National Champion from the Dharashiv district in Maharashtra, will be looking to make a mark in her first-ever L&T Mumbai Open campaign. She is set to compete against Poland’s Zuzanna Pawlikowska, while Akanksha Nitture will face Indian veteran Ankita Raina on the opening day of qualifiers at the MSLTA.
