Virat Kohli Confronts Journalist at Melbourne Airport: Reports Indicate

Melbourne, Dec 19 (NationPress) The renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has allegedly confronted a journalist during his arrival at Melbourne airport prior to the Boxing Day Test. Following the conclusion of the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which resulted in a draw at the Gabba, both the Australian and Indian teams moved to Melbourne for their next encounter at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Upon arriving at Melbourne airport, Kohli found himself in a tense exchange with a reporter, seemingly frustrated by the presence of cameras focusing on his family.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the media was interviewing Scott Boland, an Australian fast bowler, when Kohli and his family came into view. The cameras quickly turned to Kohli, who was visibly upset that his family was being filmed in a public area, leading to a heated discussion with the journalist.

A Channel 7 reporter provided further insight on the incident, stating, "Kohli's frustration arose when he saw the waiting cameras, which he mistakenly believed were capturing footage of him with his children," as mentioned on 7NEWS.

Kohli expressed his concerns clearly: "I need some privacy when it comes to my kids; filming without my consent isn’t acceptable," he was heard stating, as per 7News. Eventually, after it was clarified that his children were not being filmed, Kohli reconciled with the media, shaking hands with the cameraperson before departing.

Having started the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia with a remarkable century in Perth, Kohli has struggled since, accumulating merely 21 runs over the last three matches.

India faced a significant defeat during the second Test in Adelaide, while the third Test at the Gabba ended in a draw due to rain. The Border-Gavaskar series currently stands at 1-1, with the pivotal fourth Test commencing on December 26 before the series concludes in Sydney with the final Test.
