Lucknow, March 3 (NationPress) The UP Warriorz won the toss and chose to field first against the Gujarat Giants in the 15th match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Monday.

This match marks the beginning of the third leg of the WPL in Lucknow, following the tournament's travels to Vadodara and Bengaluru during the initial phase.

In a notable development, Georgia Voll from Australia made her debut for the UP Warriorz, taking the place of Chamari Athapaththu and replacing Saima Thakor. Additionally, Tahil McGrath was substituted by Gouher Sultana. In contrast, the Gujarat Giants retained their original eleven.

Both the UP Warriorz and the Gujarat Giants have recorded two victories out of five matches each, placing them on four points and among three teams with the same score. A defeat for either side could land them in a precarious situation.
