The Sonipat Spartans narrowly defeated the Jaipur Pink Cubs with a score of 42-40 in the opening match. The Pink Cubs secured some early points, but the Spartans managed to lead 20-17 at halftime. Sonipat executed an All Out on Jaipur, giving them a five-point advantage, though Jaipur reduced the gap to three points with a Super Raid.
