Yuvraj Verma Clinches the Title of Champion of Champions at Pro Panja League

Mumbai, Dec 23 (NationPress) Yuvraj Verma triumphed over a competitive field of arm wrestlers, who were all winners in their respective weight categories, to be crowned the 'Champion of Champions' in an event co-hosted by Pro Panja League and Sheru Classic during the International Health & Fitness Festival (IHFF) Expo held in Mumbai this past weekend.

Verma first defeated Atharva Bhagwat to secure a place in the top three and subsequently outperformed Sachin Goyal and Tawheed Shaikh in a round-robin challenge, earning the title of Champion of Champions at the Mumbai edition of the Pro Panja League x Sheru Classic Arm Wrestling Championship.

The three-day IHFF Expo, which took place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from December 20 to 22, showcased unparalleled feats of strength and adrenaline as Pro Panja League partnered with Sheru Classic to enhance their collaboration at the IHFF. This tournament gathered the finest arm wrestlers from across the nation, competing in four different weight categories and culminating in the exhilarating Champion of Champions face-off.

On the opening day, fierce competitions erupted in the 60 kg and 70 kg categories, with Shivam Chaudhary, Ayush Kaushal, and Mohit Raj securing the top three positions in the 60 kg division. In the 70 kg category, Prashant Yadav, Shivank Mishra, and Altamash Khan stood out, as reported by the organizers.

As the competition progressed to the second day, the intensity increased with the 80 kg and 80 kg+ categories. Sachin Goyal, Atharva Bhagwat, and Ayush Singh Rajput claimed victory in the 80 kg category, while the 80 kg+ division was dominated by Yuvraj Verma, Tawheed Shaikh, and Paarth Sonni.

Ultimately, all winners and runners-up faced off in a bid for the coveted Champion of Champions title.

Notable attendees included Parvinn Dabass, Founder of Pro Panja League, Preeti Jhanghiani, President of the People’s ArmWrestling Federation India, and Manish Gandhi, founder of IHFF.

Parvinn Dabass expressed his excitement over the fierce competition, stating, “It was remarkable to witness these professionals in action. Some have already become stars, while others are on the path to stardom.”

He further added, “We want to extend our sincere gratitude to IHFF and Manish Gandhi for collaborating with us and assisting in promoting Panja at this exceptional fitness and health exhibition, elevating the sport to new heights.”

Manish Gandhi shared similar sentiments, noting, “It was fantastic to bring the Pro Panja League back to IHFF Mumbai. We have been collaborating with Pro Panja for many years to advance ArmWrestling at IHFF, and the athletes' response and caliber have consistently been outstanding.”
