40 Indian Startups Raise Over $787 Million in Funding This Week

New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) In an impactful week for the Indian startup landscape, approximately 40 startups attracted over $787 million in funding as the economy showed resilience despite geopolitical challenges.

These investments comprised 16 growth-stage deals and 23 early-stage transactions.

This marks a substantial increase from the $250 million accumulated through 18 deals the previous week.

The cloud kitchen unicorn Rebel Foods topped the funding table with $210 million led by Temasek through a combination of primary and secondary share sales. Rebel Foods aims to pursue a public listing by the coming year.

Mintifi, a fintech startup, raised $180 million in its Series E funding round, spearheaded by TVG and Prosus. The startup intends to utilize the new funds to broaden its reach across significant sectors.

In addition, CarDekho SEA, the Southeast Asia division of digital automotive solutions provider CarDekho Group, completed its inaugural external funding round, securing $60 million.

This round was backed by notable growth and private equity investors Navis Capital Partners and Dragon Fund. Following this financing, the total funds raised now exceed $100 million.

Haber, a prominent industrial AI startup, acquired $44 million in its Series C funding round, comprising $38 million in equity and $6 million in debt. This round was led by Creaegis, BEENEXT, and Accel.

SolarSquare, India’s foremost home solar startup based in Mumbai, raised $40 million in its Series B funding round, the largest venture capital raise in the Indian solar industry. This round was led by Lightspeed with participation from Lightrock.

K12 Techno Services received $40 million in funding from Kenro Capital, a growth-stage secondary venture capital firm.

Furthermore, 23 early-stage startups secured funding totaling $54.01 million during the week.

Currently, nearly 73,151 startups in India have at least one woman Director -- nearly half of the 152,139 startups supported by the government, highlighting the vital role women play in fostering innovation and economic growth, as per a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
