Imphal, Dec 5 (NationPress) The five-day 'Drone Technology Bootcamp' wrapped up on Friday at the Drone Training Node located in Chandel district of Manipur, heralding a crucial advancement in the technological expertise of security personnel in the area.

Defence spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mahendra Rawat mentioned that this event was orchestrated by the Assam Rifles, in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, and was backed by a dedicated initiative from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The training took place from December 1 to 5.

He explained that the Bootcamp aimed to bolster technical skills and operational understanding regarding unmanned aerial systems.

As per the Defence spokesperson, 165 participants from various branches including the Army, Assam Rifles, BSF, CRPF, Territorial Army, and faculty from IIT Dhanbad engaged in this vital training.
