Throughout the summit, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) amounting to several crores of rupees were executed, heightening expectations for renewed growth in regional industries, trade, and investment.
The AAI's stall, large and eye-catching, drew in thousands of visitors from India and abroad.
Through models and displays, the stall provided extensive insights into the workings of AAI, its various divisions, and airport-related services.
Visitors learned that air travel encompasses much more than just aircraft, pilots, and flight attendants; it is backed by an extensive and intricate support system.
Speaking to IANS, AAI's Public Relations Officer (PRO), Indra Mohan, stated that the authority designed a spacious pavilion-style stall at the conference to educate the public about AAI's operations.
He emphasized that AAI oversees the construction, management, and operation of airports, with a primary aim of ensuring safe, smooth, and convenient air travel for passengers.
PRO Indra Mohan also highlighted that while India had 74 airports in 2014, this number has surged to approximately 165 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In line with the Prime Minister's vision, the goal is to expand the number of airports in the country to between 350 and 400 in the coming years, he added.
Today, India's domestic aviation sector ranks as the world's third-largest, generating new job opportunities and enhancing tourism, according to the PRO.
He also noted that enhancing airport facilities will bolster local trade and industry.
"Connectivity to smaller cities will improve, making air travel more accessible to the average citizen," he remarked.
"The Union government's clear mission is to ensure that air travel is within the financial reach of even the most ordinary citizen, which will directly benefit the economy," he continued.
PRO Indra Mohan expressed that the enthusiasm displayed by attendees at the conference was remarkable.
Over the past five days, individuals from all walks of life have participated with great zeal.
In particular, there was immense excitement among the youth, indicating that the Saurashtra–Kutch region is poised to achieve new heights in industry, trade, and investment in the near future.
