Ranchi, Jan 23 (NationPress) Aditya Sahu, the newly elected president of the BJP in Jharkhand, officially took charge on Friday. During the inauguration, he emphasized that the state holds significant potential for the party and expressed optimism about establishing a “double engine” government here.
Earlier that day, Sahu participated in prayers at the state BJP office in honor of Saraswati Puja. After assuming his role, he addressed party leaders and workers, stating that the BJP’s greatest asset is its dedicated and passionate cadre.
“On this auspicious Vasant Panchami day, let us all commit to working diligently for good governance in Jharkhand,” Sahu remarked, confidently stating, “We are certain to form a robust double-engine government in the state once again under the BJP’s leadership.”
As he outlined his priorities as party president, Sahu declared his commitment to fortifying the organization and disseminating the party’s ideology to every village and individual across Jharkhand.
Thanking party workers, Sahu acknowledged that their support and faith were instrumental in his ascent.
“I began my political journey as a booth-level worker, and today, I am honored to be entrusted with the role of state president. This is a testament to the organizational culture of the BJP,” he remarked.
Sahu also paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, recalling his deep ties to Jharkhand. “Netaji raised his voice against British rule from this land. As we remember him today, we should pledge to fight for a new identity for Jharkhand,” he stated.
Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi commended Sahu’s organizational experience, noting his extensive work within the party and his rise through the ranks from booth-level positions. “Given his long history with the organization, he does not require any special guidance,” Marandi commented.
He also suggested that delineating the roles of the state party president and the leader of the legislative party would enhance the organization’s efficiency.
The event was attended by numerous senior BJP leaders and workers, including State Organisation General Secretary Karmveer Singh, former state presidents Yadunath Pandey and Dr. Ravindra Kumar Ray, MP Deepak Prakash, State General Secretary and MP Dr. Pradeep Verma, and State Vice President Balmukund Sahay.
