Reflecting on the album, Agastya expressed in a statement that music was instrumental in shaping his understanding of his character as a young soldier.
Agastya remarked, “Witnessing the affection each song has garnered has been profoundly touching. Music has been pivotal in deepening my grasp of my character and its emotional voyage. Listening to the entire album now evokes memories of those moments on set, which were sincere, heartfelt, and very dear to me.”
Actress Simar Bhatia, who plays his love interest in the film, added, “The appreciation for these songs has been exceptionally meaningful. Every track is rich with emotion and intent. The music not only complements the film but becomes intertwined with the characters, making this album particularly special to me.”
Agastya also received high praise from his grandfather, the iconic Amitabh Bachchan, for his debut performance in 'Ikkis'.
The legendary actor described Agastya's portrayal as “flawless in every frame” in a heartfelt message on his blog.
Recalling the day Agastya’s mother, Shweta, was rushed to the hospital during her labor pains, he wrote, “Emotions flow... As do they tonight as you witness my grandson shine in Ikkis... the day his mother, Shweta, was taken to Breach Candy Hospital as she experienced her final labor pains... his birth... holding him just hours later, and discussing whether his eyes were blue.”
“From the moments I cradled him in my arms as he played with my beard to his journey leading to the decisive choice of becoming an actor. And tonight, to see him on screen, I find it impossible to look away each time he fills the frames of the film,” Big B added.
