Mumbai, Sep 3 (NationPress) Actor Ahan Shetty is set to feature in an Indian horror film inspired by a true tragedy, crafted by Patrick Graham, who is returning to the Hindi horror genre.

Graham, known for the Netflix horror series “Ghoul” and “Betaal,” is writing the script for this untitled project. It is being produced by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment in collaboration with Prashant Gunjalkar.

This film marks a significant genre shift for Ahan Shetty, who made his debut in the 2021 romantic action thriller “Tadap” and is also slated to star in the war film “Border 2,” alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan, as reported by variety.com.

The project is designed to offer a theatrical horror experience that intertwines elements of fear and romance, centered around a historical event. The female lead is yet to be cast, and details regarding the title and director are forthcoming.

Graham has previously worked on “Ghoul” (2018) and “Betaal” (2020), both produced under Blumhouse Television’s Indian division, which is also known for successful horror franchises like “Get Out” and “The Purge.”

Producer Madaan established Not Out Entertainment this year after a decade with Red Chillies Entertainment, Disney India, and Maddock Films. The company aims to rejuvenate theatrical Hindi cinema through innovative storytelling.

The current slate of the production house includes the romantic horror-comedy “Abhootpurva” and a drama by award-winning filmmaker Habib Faisal, known for “Do Dooni Chaar” and “Ishaqzaade.”

As for Ahan’s upcoming film “Border 2,” the patriotic drama is set for release on January 22, 2026.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 also features Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa, produced by Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta.

This project boasts a strong production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and is directed by Anurag Singh. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in partnership with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. “Border 2” is scheduled to release on January 22, 2026.

Whereas the original “Border” focused on the Battle of Longewala, Border 2 is expected to depict events from the Kargil War of 1999, a limited conflict wherein Pakistani forces crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory in the Kargil district.
