Mumbai, Dec 3 (NationPress) The renowned Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar is filled with emotions as his niece Simar Bhatia gears up to make her much-anticipated Bollywood debut in the film Ikkis, helmed by Sriram Raghavan. With the film's release approaching, the proud uncle took to social media to share his heartfelt sentiments for his niece. Alongside a poster of Simar from Ikkis, Akshay expressed, “From holding you as a tiny baby to now witnessing you enter the film industry… life truly has come full circle.”

“Simar, I’ve watched you evolve from a shy little girl who would hide behind her mother into a confident young woman who is ready to face the camera as if she was destined for it. The journey may be tough, but knowing you, you’ll embrace it with that same fire, honesty, and unyielding determination that runs in our family,” he continued.

In his motivational message, he added, “The Bhatia family philosophy is simple: work hard, work with your heart, and then watch the universe work its magic.” Akshay expressed immense pride in her achievements, referring to her as a ‘star’. “I’m incredibly proud of you, beta… The world is about to meet Simar Bhatia… But to me, you have always been a star. Go shine! Jai Mahadev,” he concluded, tagging Simar in his post.

Earlier this year, 'Airlift' announced Simar Bhatia’s entry into Bollywood by sharing a newspaper cutout featuring an article titled “The Batch of 2025” that included her name. Akshay reminisced, “I remember the first time I saw my photo on a newspaper cover; I thought that was the pinnacle of happiness. However, today, I realize that seeing your child’s photo there surpasses everything. I wish my mother were here today; she would have said, ‘Simar puttar, tu toh kamaal hai.’ Bless you, my baby; the sky is yours.”

The film Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, will feature Simar Bhatia alongside Agastya Nanda and the late superstar Dharmendra. This war drama narrates the inspiring story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his valor during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
