Akshay Kumar Expresses Pride for Niece Simar Bhatia Ahead of 'Ikkis' Premiere

Mumbai, Jan 6 (NationPress) Bollywood sensation Akshay Kumar's niece Simar Bhatia is gearing up to launch her career in Bollywood with Sriram Raghavan's film 'Ikkis'. The proud uncle recently took to social media to bestow praises upon the budding actress.
The 'Airlift' star shared a snippet from a renowned newspaper that highlighted an article featuring Simar Bhatia as part of 'The Batch of 2025'.
His heartfelt message read, 'I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that’s the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child’s photo here beats everything. I wish my mom was here today and she would have said ‘Simar puttar Tu tah Kamaal hai’. Bless you my baby, the sky is yours.'
Actress Rakul Preet Singh responded to the post with two red heart emojis, while actress Huma Qureshi commented, 'Sim, Sim' accompanied by a heart emoji.
The film directed by Sriram Raghavan will feature Simar Bhatia alongside Agastya Nanda and the legendary Dharmendra. 'Ikkis' is expected to be a war drama that tells the inspiring story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously honored with the Param Vir Chakra for his valor during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has an exciting slate for 2025. He will soon appear in Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur's 'Sky Force', set to hit cinemas on January 24. He will also feature in Priyadarshan's horror drama 'Bhooth Bangla' alongside Paresh Rawal, which is generating considerable buzz and is due for release on April 2, 2026.
Moreover, Akshay Kumar is set to reprise his roles in upcoming sequels of his popular franchises 'Jolly LLB 3', 'Welcome to the Jungle', 'Housefull 5', and 'Hera Pheri 3'.
